Research

We believe that scientific study has an important responsibility in accounting for the benefits offered to the public by the Hoffman Process. Research findings have also assisted us in strengthening and extending the value of our approach in helping people change recurrent unwanted patterns in their lives. Amongst other benefits published scientific research has demonstrated the long-term positive effects of the Hoffman Process on relieving depression and anxiety.

University of California Grant Research Study (2003)

“When looking at mild to moderate depression, it (The Hoffman Process) appears to produce at least as good or better results than other programs, therapies or medications. In addition, positive long-lasting benefits result, including increased emotional intelligence, spirituality, forgiveness, empathy, physical energy and vitality. Research findings (click here to get to research findings summary by Dr Ron Meister) indicate that the overall changes available to a participant are, by any standard, quite remarkable.” ( Dr Ron Meister)

The Windhausen Study (From the Hoffman Institute UK Website)

A study of the Quadrinity Process, and probably the most significant long-term study to date was written in 1997 as the dissertation of the German psychologist Christiane Windhausen, at the Wilhelms-University Muenster in Westphalia. Mrs. Windhausen studied theology before graduating in psychology at the above university. Her dissertation is based on studies carried out with 65 randomly selected clients, all of whom completed the Quadrinity Process in its present form during 1994 and 1995.  [View PDF]

(intern), conducted a survey of 31 randomly selected individuals who took the Hoffman Quadrinity Process (HQP) between the years 1985 and 1991. The survey set out to study what gains the HQP could provide for its graduates after they left the eight-day environment. [View PDF]

The Caldwell Report, 1983-1985

In order to assess the effectiveness of the Hoffman approach as impartially as possible, we consulted two experts in the field of psychological research. Dr. Alex B. Caldwell and Dr. Curtis S. Hileman worked together in conducting detailed evaluations of psychological test data provided by our clients and statistically analyzing the results. Their primary interest was in examining differences in important areas of psychological well-being between the time that people began the process and the point at which they completed it thirteen weeks later. [View PDF]

What people are saying

“..one could hardly originate a better product than the Hoffman Quadrinity Process, a method which takes only eight days… HQP is the best method I know for the realignment of relationships with parents and parent surrogates and, more generally, a powerful tool in the service of the development of love for self and others.” — Claudio Naranjo, M.D., Psychiatrist, Author of The One Quest, The Healing Journey and On the Psychology of Meditation
